February 2017

There are A LOT of pictures in this post. I'm pretty sure this is the most pictures per post I've ever done. So yeah, I hope you're not sick of seeing Kayla and Wilson yet ;)

Cute boy decided to start sleeping on his tummy. He has been such a good sleeper for us. Kayla started sleeping through the night early and then a month or two later stopped and it wasn't until she was like 14 or 15 months old that she started sleeping through the night again. Seriously. And even now, once sometimes twice a week she'll wake up in the middle of the night.

Cute & happy boy!

Doing much better at sitting up in the grocery cart.

Celebrating my brother's birthday

Silly girl. And then she wanted baby brother to wear her bow. Lol.

One night when I went to put Wilson in bed (he typically goes to bed after her) I look over and see Kayla and a ton of stuffed toys. Haha. Jacob had put her to bed that night and just kept giving her the toys she asked for. I thought it was super cute.

Crazy girl. Jacob is super impressed by her limber body, and the fact that she can put her head flat on the ground without bending her legs. Jacob was in gymnastics in high school. I did a little bit when I was younger as well. We fully intend to put her in classes in the next few years. Let's hope she enjoys it ;)

She does this fairly often. She'll open a bunch of books and put them in one another. Crazy girl!

One Sunday afternoon. The three of them just hanging out in bed relaxing.

So my mother inlaw mentioned that this summer while she was gone a lot, my father inlaw had been adding some dawn to the dishwasher with every wash and that it made her dishes cleaner so now she does it. I had started doing it as well for a month or two. I guess one day I put too much in it because there were bubbles every where!! I still do it, but now I just make sure to watch how much a put in ;)

I just thought it was funny how much he wanted to watch the tv.

Little man has perfected his rolling over and will not stay where you put him.

This picture of Kayla and my grandparents is on my parent's fridge. She passed by and saw it and said "Omi! It's Omi!" I thought it was the cutest and sweetest thing, so I took a picture to remember.

cute kiddos!

Wilson doesn't care about pacifiers, but for a while I would offer them to him to see if it would ever soothe him. He mostly just bit it and spit it out. But he sure looked cute with his little wubbanub! I guess it's probably a good thing I won't have to deal with taking a pacifier away.

Mommy's lap is running out of room with these two growing kids!

Kayla and Bella were being super silly one evening playing together... or next to each other... against each other? Lol.

Found this cute throwback on my computer just in time to send to Gina for her birthday! Look how little Kayla was!!

And Kayla learned how to "mostly" say happy birthday, so we sent this to Aunt Gina for her birthday, too. Kayla is saying "happy birthday Gina"

My little helper

The pancakes turned out good ;)

Daddy came home for lunch and ate some of the pancakes that we had made, and so of course Kayla needed more. You can see the leftovers on her face ;P

I think my favorite hairstyle on Kayla is any form of pigtails.

cute girl!

Our favorite time of the day is when Daddy comes home! Kayla is always thrilled to see him. And his crazy dirty hat hair cracks me up. Haha.

Kayla started eating better when she was sitting at the big table with us. So now she's out of her high chair. She actually does really well and doesn't even need a booster.

I let the kids wake up on their own and most mornings I'll just let them hang out for a little bit before I go get them. Kayla talks to Wilson and herself and she sings and plays with her stuffed animals, and Wilson makes super cute sounds. I can even hear them laughing most mornings. It's pretty cute.

My sweet babies happy after a good nights rest

Smelling flowers

Kayla loves our next door neighbor, Josh. Anytime she sees him, even if we're inside and she's just looking out the window, she'll yell "HI JOSH!!". It's really cute!

My Mom sent this picture to me while they were up in Utah for Roots Tech. My grandparents were giving us this truck, (Jacob seriously LOVES it) and my parents were driving it around while they were up there, and then my Dad drove it back to Texas for us.

Kayla was a serious grump and was fighting sleep so bad. We made her go to bed and she screamed and screamed. It only took 5 minuets and she was out! Jacob went to check and make sure she was asleep when we realized it finally got quiet. We thought it was hilarious that she was obviously sitting in the corner, crying, and eventually just gave in to sleep, and fell over still in that position.

Laying in Mommy and Daddy's bed watching a movie together. Wilson is so happy just to be next to his sister!

The youth in Jacob's parent's ward were doing a valentines dinner as a fundraiser. His parents bought tickets and then decided not to go, but instead to give us the tickets and offered to babysit so we could have a date night. I had had a really hard few days and as silly as it is, that was exactly what I needed.

So grateful for his support and love, and for the date night and babysitting from his parents!!

Silly girl loves hanging out on this step.

And she also likes to play peek a boo with the doors.

Cuddling baby brother <3

Someone had a blowout and it called for a bath in Grandma and Papa's kitchen sink.

Playing games. Kayla insisted on sitting with Ryan and Carly, and Ryan did not seem impressed.

Silly boy kept rolling under the couch. Grandma pulled him out 2 or 3 times.

Daddy found these little "eggs" with sponge animals inside.

He and Kayla had fun hatching them and seeing which animal it was.

I love when they both want to cuddle with me <3

My car broke down last year and we just got around to fixing it and are now trying to sell it. (Jacob really dreaded working on it so he put it off like 9 months...) Anyways, there's a carwash a few streets over from our place and we let her go without her car seat to it (shh! ;) ) She had fun sitting like a big girl and though she was a little unsure of the carwash at first, she ended up liking it in the end.

Some valentine cards from our cousins Logan & Alyssa!

Cute boy started trying to roll over in his rock n play so I now we have to actually strap him in there.

Valentines day we had pizza rolls, some yummy chocolate, and watched a movie together as a family.  I sure love my little family, especially this guy <3

Even though Wilson doesn't really care for pacifiers, Kayla realizes what they are. She has this toy mushroom that she likes to suck on like a pacifier... (She never cared for pacifiers either, so it's funny to me that she thinks she needs to do this.)

Just as I parked outside of the grocery store I looked back to see both kids passed out. As if it isn't hard enough taking them shopping, this trip with 2 cranky kids who ended up waking up too soon was especially terrible...

Wilson's first tooth about to cut through!!

My guys :)

When Kayla was a baby the recommendation was to start cereal around 4 months. Well apparently the new recommendation is 6 months... Wilson seemed super interested so I decided to do it anyways (5 months old)

Turns out he's not really a fan though... (He made much more of a mess than this picture.)

There's a hole in the tree and she loves putting sticks in it.

I was trying to get Wilson to fall asleep and I looked up and she was climbing the tree. I don't know where she even learned that from!

This is what happens when you don't take a nap. You pass out at 6pm for the night...

My breakfast just looked especially good one morning so I took a pic

Kayla LOVES to color!

She also loves steering wheels! She's definitely her Daddy's daughter ;)

Cute Kayla and Ryan

And Ryan and Wilson

Sweet brother and sister

I am so impressed with Kayla's eating. She loves veggies! Corn, carrots, peas, green beans, zucchini, any other squash, sweet potatoes, asparagus, broccoli, you name it, she'll eat it! For a while she wouldn't eat any meat except chickfila nuggets, but she's been doing so good eating all of her food and making a "happy plate" as Jacob grew up calling it. It really impresses me. Also, I accidentally made the meal in this picture more spicy than intended and she still finished the plate. She just had a drink between each bite. Lol.

Happy baby!

Poor teething baby, having to chew on his crib for relief!

Celebrating Marcela at her bridal shower! She and I grew up down the street from each other and have know each other as long as I can remember.

And here's a little throwback to us at my bridal shower 3&1/2 years ago. Crazy how time flies!!

Big sister sharing her baby doll with brother

Celebrating Jacob's birthday

Jacob's cousins that live in Dallas came down to visit and it just totally worked out that it was on his birthday. His other cousins live in town. And my brother and his fiancé Angela joined us to celebrate too.

Love this birthday boy <3

Jacob sent me a goofy selfie and I love it because it's so him. Lol. And it's now the background on my phone because I love seeing his crazy face every time I'm on it.
Also note that mechanics do try on your funky sunglasses. And then take pictures to send to their wife...

Just a girl and her Mommy's wedges...

Wilson's tooth finally cut through!

Cute girl loves flowers!

Sleeping baby, cuddling his elephant.

Sweet girl wanted to share all of her stickers with me... on my face.

When the kids wake up, sometimes I like to get Wilson out of his crib and put him with Kayla. I promise they both love it, even though he looks pretty skeptical here. Lol.

Going for a walk with Mommy

While we went for a walk, Daddy jumped in the pond to search for lost frisbee golf discs. He's actually collected quite a few this way...

3 years to the month and we paid off our truck!!

This is a little throwback to the day we picked up the truck in February of 2014.

The same day we paid off the F-150, we brought home the Ranger that my grandparents gave us.

Jacob is thrilled to get the chance to go camping in it!! He was so excited to get this truck, and he will tell you every little detail that he loves about it. Let me tell you, he loves every little detail of the truck! The camper shell, the cushion-y platform bed, all the cubbies in the bed, plus all the camping goodies thats my grandpa left in the cubbies for him, the drapes for the windows, the little side folding seats in the back of the cab, the fact that it's a ford, and a ranger (tiny truck), it's a 4x4, it has a tape player, and his mom still had a bunch of tapes so now he can and totally does jam out to the Star Wars soundtrack (for real... he cranks it and rolls the windows down when the imperial march comes on), he loves how the seats are super comfy and just conform to you, and I could go on and on... Well he could go on and on. Haha. He and his Dad share what was his great grandfather's last vehicle, a 1966 Ford Galaxie LTD, aka Ruby if you've seen any previous posts. And so now that we have what was my grandfather's vehicle, it just makes it all the more special to him.

I have been wearing some super worn out shoes for a while now. We actually got these on our honey moon. I was so mad, like a week later when I went back to work, there was a nail sticking out under the counters and I got a hole in the shoe (as seen below, well one of them at least) I got one or two more from the same stupid nail... And I'm pretty sure that nail is the reason I tripped when I was like 8 weeks preggo with Kayla. She and I were obviously fine. But I hadn't told anyone I was pregnant and I called Jacob on my break in tears and freaking out that I hurt the baby. I digress... The shoes were very worn out and my Mom was kind enough to get me new ones for my birthday :P

I don't know why this one isn't rotated but they still look pretty cute!

Kayla rocking her sunglasses at night. Ha!

I turned 24 in March, so it was time for a new license. I went a few weeks before my birthday to renew. Thankfully these two kept themselves happily entertained for the hour and a half that we were there waiting...

About a week after the first tooth cut through, his second tooth started to make it's way out as well.

Kayla knows how to put her flip flops on... though she still working on which feet to put them on. She gets it right half the time ;) Lol.

Kayla was excited to see the fish at Bass Pro in Katy. At one point she was looking one way and I mentioned a fish coming from the other way. I don't know if the size is what startled her or what, but after that she decided she was nervous of the fish anytime they got too close to the part of the glass that she was by. Haha.

Aunt Jenny has lots of fun stuff to play with at her house

Playing at the park and celebrating Bella's birthday

There were lots of fun toys there!

And lots of cute cousins!

Happy birthday Bella!

Some more park playing after the party!

They had thrown some decorations to hang them and were having some trouble getting them down.

So Jacob climbed up to grab them.

Jacob showing off the truck to me, and he took me for a little ride, complete with a stop at whataburger for a chocolate shake :)

My grandparents are so sweet and thoughtful and left their sunglasses in the truck for us to use!

And if there weren't enough pictures... here's some more videos from throughout the month!

Baby laughs!

He loves banging on things with his hands

SO close to crawling! (Yet so far ;P)

Counting to 10 with Dad

Saying ABCs with Moms help

Wilson loves to jump!!

Happy boy!

Playing with Papa, the best part is at the end... "Aww Papa"

Peek a boo with Wilson. Love these two!!
