New Skirt

I had a great time in Dallas this weekend. I left about 9am this morning and missed it from the second I left. I especially miss the little voices saying "Cy! Cy!". They are the cutest and sweetest little things. I can't wait to go back during spring break.
Yesterday Missy and I decided to make skirts. I found some really cute ones on Pinterest from this blog here. It has a link on the page to where she originally found the idea too, at this site. At first I was going to  do the yellow skirt from my first link. I really like it. But since this was my first attempt I figured I better stick with the first skirt, it looked like it had room for error and to hid any imperfections. And fortunately most of the instructions are on the second link I just posted.
The problem was we had two skirts and one sewing machine. I finished mine, so now I'm just waiting for Missy to finish hers. Can't wait to see it!!
Well here's some pictures:

And a close up.

It actually turned out pretty good. I'm so glad. And I'm kind in love with it :) Now once I get some time I'll try the other skirt! Haha.

First Post

Well this is my first post. I finally made a blog. I've been thinking about doing it for a while now, and I finally gave in. So we'll see how this works out. I normally get into something and am good about keeping up, but then lose interest and forget about it. Haha.

So about the blog name... "Just keep putting one foot in front of the other", I felt a little pressured trying to think of a name on such short notice. I got it from the OneRepublic song Marching' On. I guess it sums up where I am right now. I'm still trying to figure things out and it's pretty frustrating not knowing what I'm doing, but I just try to remind myself to take it one step at a time.

Right now I'm in Dallas with my sister and her family. I love coming up here! We've done a few Pinterest recipes and are thinking of making some skirts today. What did we ever do before we found out about Pinterest? Haha. Oh and not to mention those cute kids!! Whenever I walk out of a room I hear "Where's Cy? Cy? Where Cy go?" So cute!! Here's some pics from the trip so far:

The kids at the grocery store...

Thursday night's sunset. This picture doesn't give it justice. I waited too long and it started to get dark. But it's still a pretty picture.

Sweet Logan. Such a cutie!!

Sissa was showing off her pink toenails but the app I used would only show so much of the picture and I wanted to show her cute face.

Logan got a butter mustache Friday night at dinner.

She got a little restless at the end of dinner.

They are just so cute!!

In front of the princess mirrors at the Disney store. She loved seeing Belle.

At the puzzle store she found a little basket just her size and then went on the hunt for her baby. Once she found it she enjoyed pushing the baby around.
