More July Happenings

So starting off from where I last blogged, the weekend of the 14th I went up to Waco with Jacob and his parents for his nephew's baby blessing. It was a good weekend. And then came a... well complicated situation. It has a good ending, but basically I agreed to letting Jacob have a mohawk for a week. Even worse, I cut it for him.

Getting ready to cut his hair

What have I done?

It took forever to get it to stay up

:/

There you are!

He had it from Monday to Thursday, and then I cut it.

And Friday we headed to San Antonio to see my family. About 10 minutes away from the hotel I get a phone call requesting ice cream. And I was wanting some too so I agreed. But never again will I go into such a sketchy place at 10pm. I was scared for us. And Jacob freaked me out by hiding everything before we went in. Just as we were about to get into the car and get out of that place, some guy came up and starting begging for money. Never again, not even for ice cream. Haha.

The next morning we got up had breakfast with everyone and then split off into 2 groups. Jacob, Dad, Stephen, Bailey, his friend, and I went to Fiesta and everyone else went to Sea World. Well except Mom and Billy who got to be in meetings all morning.

Waiting in line for one of the rides

Riding on the train while the others went to the water park for a little bit

The whole group

That night we headed to San Marcos to have dinner with Caitlin's family (Stephen's girlfriend). It was good to finally meet her. And we had a great time with her family.

Before we headed back to College Station, Jacob and I decided to take our time and make some pit stops.

Buc-cee's!

The place was huge!! On the way back we saw they're building another one just as big off of 21 in Bastrop!

We also found a car museum in San Marcos. Mom always talks about the firetruck she had when she was little so when I saw this I had to show her.

He sure loves cars. Seriously though. Haha.

This week Jacob and I went on an actual date. I was probably too excited. Lol. We're always together, but haven't been on a 'date' in a while. And I even agreed to go in his car, Ruby!

:)

And one more thing I haven't done in too long is actually cook!! It was delish! Haha.

Mmmm :)

Well that's about it for now. My next post will probably be after I move into our new place next week. I can't wait to finally have a washer and dryer and to never have to use a stupid facility again!! And cheaper rent. Lol.

4th of July!

Okay I know I'm a little late with this post but hey, better late than never! So on the 3rd I got off of work and went over to Jacob's parents only to find out that pretty much everyone had the 4th off but me. Boo! So I worked from 9-5 on the 4th. Not too bad. And I got holiday pay. Yay! When I finally got off we were in the mood for burgers... but too lazy to cook them. So Jacob and I went to Carter Burger instead. Haha. And then we headed off to the George Bush Library. It was a good night. But afterwards there were way too many people to wait for the shuttle and we ended up walking back to the car. Not a good night to be wearing sandals. Ouchie. After that we ate some Spoons and called it a night. It was a good 4th. Although next year I really want to actually do fireworks. Stupid city limit laws. Here's some pictures :)

On the shuttle!
So this is how taking pictures always goes for us... I try to take a normal picture but he decides to be silly.

So I give in and take a silly one.

And then I get him to actually smile.
Compromise, right? Haha.

Waiting for the show to start.

And after a few unsuccessful attempts we finally got a shot with us and a firework. Yay!

After working all week and weekend, Sunday night I finally got to go home for a few days. It was raining pretty much the whole time I was there so the only thing I really did was laundry and be lazy. It was nice :) haha.

I finally finished a project the I started weeks ago. Okay it took like 20 minutes, I just haven't gotten around to it. Don't judge. I like the way it turned out!

Before the etching...

And after with the tickets in it.

Oh and when I bought the shadow box they had a sale and I ended up getting a picture frame too.

It's cute!

And I made it even cuter :)
The first picture I did in color, but I didn't like the way it looked so I did it again in black and white.

And used the color one to give to Jacob.

That's about it for now. But this weekend Jacob and I are going to Waco with his parents to see his sister's family. And next weekend we're going to San Antonio to meet up with my family. Can't wait!

Road Trip to Pittsburg!

This past weekend Jacob and I went on a road trip to Pittsburg, Texas. His friends and their new baby live up there. Sadly we hardly took any pictures. And none with any of them. But it was a great weekend! Oh and right before we went up I was feeling crafty and decided to make a dress. I wore it on Sunday when we went to church with them.

On the way up

:)

My dress that I made

Another shot of the dress I made

Driving home. Yes I just so happen to be wearing the same shirt as the way up. Don't judge :P

We found Mater!!!

And then I got bored....

....

We had lots of fun!!

Here's a nasty picture, sorry, but this is what I've been dealing with in Bryan/College Station.

Crickets... Crickets EVERYWHERE!! Eww....

Last Wednesday my mom, grandma, sister, her friend, the twins and I went to the Blue Bell factory. Mmm ice cream :)

He's so sweet!!

I think she was ready for a nap at this point.

Missy and the kids

Such a sweetie :)

Silly girl was feeding her baby. P.S. Alex if you read this... it wasn't the baby doll who left all those chex mix in the side of the door. Just saying ;)

And a few weeks ago I tried a yummy new recipe...

You make a yummy peanut butter and banana sandwich and dip both sides into a mixture of egg and vanilla

And then fry it up

And you have a yummy peanut butter banana french toast breakfast sandwich!

So the dress I mentioned before was actually dress #2... The first one I made I fell in love with! It was coming out beautifully!!... But I forgot to account for, as my friends say, my 'child bearing hips'...

I tried to fix it but it was still a wee bit too tight. So sad!! Anyone want a dress? Haha.
