A Collection of Happy Days: February 2022

My computer is so old, out of storage, and slow that it’s impossible to blog from there.

I’ve tried a few apps that connect to blogger and they haven’t been successful. So I’ve turned to using the browser on my phone and it uploads the pictures in a crazy random order. But I can’t tell you how many times I’ve done a post for March 2020… not to mention I’m 2 years behind 😂 so I guess I’ve come to accept that it is what it is 🤪

Once COVID hit and we were stuck at home… we ended up outside and in so many walks. Honestly, I’m not even mad about it.

COVID activity… sort, clean, and count change. It turned into a few days worth of activities when we got all of Jacob’s change out 😂

Princess Kayla 👸

Sick girl 😢 we went down to Texas to look at a specific car. On the way there she started not feeling good. The next morning we went to the dealership and she quickly got worse. Fever, tired, just looking so sick. Negotiations weren’t going well and with her so sick I was about to get up and leave. They quickly made a better deal 🙄 and we finished up and left. We got back to my parents and she rested. I thought she was doing better and then we went to dinner and she threw up 😳 poor thing. And this is right before everything shut down so I’m sure we really freaked people out 😬 she wasn’t worse but she wasn’t better so I finally took her in a day or so other and she tested positive for flu. I felt so bad she had to go through the trip with it 😩

Some people call puffy oven German pancakes… but these are the German pancakes I grew up with. Similar to crepes. My grandma (Omi) doesn’t really have a written recipe. These are the closet I’ve gotten to it, but not quite there. These are definitely thicker than hers.

Took Kayla to the park to learn how to ride her bike. She kept getting scared of going in the grass though. We finally got the idea to go the church parking lot and it was so much easier for her. She was riding so well by the time we were done that day. And Wilson is a whiz on his balance bike. Sometimes she gets mad at how fast he goes on it 😂

One of the cars we were looking at. We wanted an expedition. The truck we had was a king ranch and we really liked them. We weren’t sure about captains chairs or not (ended up without them and I’m glad. Especially when we decided to have another kid not too much later 😂). And Jacob was leaning towards a 4x4. We finally found one in Texas that hit everything we wanted. And a year later when the huge snowstorm hit the south and Wilson had his accident that 4x4 saved us and now Jacob says we’ll never not have a 4x4 vehicle 😂

When Jacob was in England fall of 2019, the lawn needed one more mow. I figured it was simple enough and tired to do it. I could not get the stupid mower started. I tired so much I had blisters on my hand. I was video chatting Jacob for help and I just couldn’t do it. A sweet friend followed her prompting (I had mentioned something to her earlier about mowing the lawn) and showed up with her son and their electric mower. But when Jacob came home and spring came around I made him teach me 😂😂😂 so here’s a freshly mown lawn by me. Lol.

The other part of my vinyl project. These were supposed to be for a friends baby shower we were planning. And COVID ruined those plans. I felt so bad. I still gave her everything, but was super bummed the shower never happened.
